How our times are calculated
Prayer times are calculated from the position of the sun using well-known methods, such as the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi, the Muslim World League, Umm al-Qura and ISNA. The site picks the usual method for each country, and you can change the method and the Asr calculation yourself.
Calculated times can differ by a few minutes from your local masjid, which may add a margin of caution. Please follow your local masjid for congregational prayers.
